We have a new addition to our family, a rat terrier named Trixie. I thought we were done with animals for a while, but Trixie has stolen our hearts. She is still a puppy, we got her at 8 weeks. Lauren and I were selling Munchies (cookies) at the farmer's market in Sherwood Or. There were puppies for sale. Lauren spent the whole morning holding the puppies and falling in love. A woman approached my tent and asked if she could please buy Lauren the dog. It cost $250. I didn't know what to say, but I did know that this woman was being very generous and Lauren would be beyond stoked. So, we now have a dog and a great story to go with it.
Autumn is on its way, the leaves are already changing and the air is getting crisper. Our summer this year has been short. Good thing I can visit the sunshine when I visit the family in AZ. Until next time......

Another Trixie in the family! That's too good to be true :) And what a great story about how you got her. Mine isn't that exciting, just went to the breeder and paid her $1,200! It's fun to see the picture of the kids. I hope they had a good 1st day of school! We are on our 5th day. How fun that Kyle will be serving in your old Spanish Branch - what a small world. I assume he just received my letter today telling him that. Enjoy that Portland weather - it has been in the triple digits here for the past week. The weekend was 70's and 80's out in Discovery Bay and was really nice, but overall I think the Northwest would be a great place to be! Give everyone a big hug for us! Come visit ANY time :) Love ya, Launa
